  • Issues with TexSky settings for environment and background

I was messing around with the environment and background settings recently when I noticed what I think is another bug...

Basically under the the GI / Background environment texture settings, once you choose an alternative to the default TexSky setting for either GI or Background, if you decide to revert back to the TexSky later, you completely lose the ability to input any values to control the TexSky and are left with just one option for sky brightness. ???

Now under normal conditions, in the top right hand corner the of the GI / Background texture editor, there is a window displaying the word 'sunlight' and if you click on the browse button to the right of this (...) you can choose a plugin and '\sunlight' is an option in the list. I assumed that this plugin is what creates the various fields in which to input the settings...

Once the TexSky settings disappear as described above, this plugin is no longer available to choose... so you lose the ability to fine tune the sky... the only work around I have found is to reload the SU default visopt file but this was inconsistent, so in most cases I have to restart sketchup to get the sky settings back...

ASGVIS Developers...bug hunters...anybody... has this aready been identified?...do you have any answers for this?

    Any help is most appreciated.
    Thanks
    Dave

I’m using the latest version of sketchup (7.1.6860) and Vfs (1.48.66) on WinXP pro sp3.

    Hi Daqvidlouis
Yes, this is a known bug. To resolve the issue click the "Default visopt" icon and made the changes to the setting that you had before.
