  • issue with typing numbers in settings

    Hi

I have run into a weird problem. I cannot type any numbers beside "0" in some of the settings for both vray and vray lights. An example of this could be intensity for a light. I cannot paste numbers into them either. It is as if they are disabled. I dont have any problems typing numbers other places such as word ect...
I have tried to reinstall without any luck.

I have a "normal" setup with windows xp. C2D, 2gb ram, normal hd, normal usb keyboard and mouse.

Does anyone know of this problem and if there are any fix to it.

    thanks
    Simon

What version of VfSU do you use?
Please mention what V-Ray and SketchUp version you are using when posting questions.

Re: issue with typing numbers in settings

What language is your OS in? Some countries use commas instead of periods, and spaces in places we don't have them in the US. We corrected some issues related to numerical input in non English locales in our current beta. If you'd like to test the beta out, you're more than welcome. Otherwise, we should have a patch before too much longer.

Hmm, that's very odd indeed. If you'd like to give our current beta version a shot, you can sign up to be a tester here: http://forum.asgvis.com/index.php?topic=7679 << The Mighty Bug Hunt!

I'm curious if this issue is present in our current beta. If it is, we certainly need to get to the bottom of this so it won't be an issue after we release this patch. Of course don't feel up to trying out the beta, that's fine too. We rewrote the way spinboxes work in the current beta, due to bug reports similar to this, so it's likely this issue has been resolved.

Re: issue with typing numbers in settings

              Hi,

I have exactly the same problem as Timonner mentioned above. But as I am using the most recent version of Vray for Sketchup, 1.48.89, I can't download a update to fix it. I'm guessing it isn't fixed at all with the previous updates.

Problem: "I cannot type any numbers beside "0" in some of the settings for both vray and vray lights. An example of this could be intensity for a light. I cannot paste numbers into them either. It is as if they are disabled. I dont have any problems typing numbers other places such as word ect...
I have tried to reinstall without any luck."

The strange thing is that for any predefined numbers, for example the Max Transp Levels in Global Switches(5 on default), I CAN change that number to any desired number.

              Tried reinstall it several times.

So.... does anyone have any suggestion?

              Regards, Dave
