  • Error in rendering an older scene in vfs 1.48.83

    Hi all,

I am facing a problem while rendering an old vray settings in new version(1.48.83) having following error:

"The application has crashed, and a report is about to be prepared for sending to Bugslapt. Additional components, however, need to be downloaded in order to complete this process. would you lie to download them now and continue?"

After clicking YES, sketchup just closed with no warning. I have also tried to debug by regenerating all v-ray materials in help menu but same results.

    Can some one please help?

    Thanks!

Re: Error in rendering an older scene in vfs 1.48.83

Hey there, sorry to hear you're having trouble. I have a couple questions that might help us narrow down what's going on. First of all, I would like you to post the contents of your V-Ray for SketchUp error log. Here's details on where to find it:
    http://forum.asgvis.com/index.php?topic=7503.0

Here's a thread that helps explain some of the stuff you might see in the error log:
    http://forum.asgvis.com/index.php?topic=7541.0

Here's some questions to help us figure out what's going on (you can copy and paste the questions below in your response, and answer them if it makes it easier):
Does this happen every time you try to render this scene, or only sometimes?

Does this happen with all scenes, only some, or just this one?

Did the VFB open at all, or did SketchUp crash before the VFB appeared?
-If the VFB opened, did the render appear to start at all?

Here's a template you can fill out to give us some more details about the way your computer is configured:

    General System Information Template
    -----------
    ASGvis product used:
    ASGvis product version number:
ASGvis product license type(demo, academic, commercial):
    OS(windows or mac):
    OS version:
    OS language:
    OS locale:
    Host application (rhino, sketchup):
    Host application version:
    Host application language:
    Other plugins installed:
    CPU type:
    RAM:
    -----------

If you can fill any of this information out, it can help us pinpoint the source of your problem easier. I hope we can get you up and running.
