  • materials from an imported 3ds model does not show on vray material

hi, i'm trying out the 1.48.89 release for the first time from 1.5.3 release, and i also just installed the sketchup pro 7.1
i imported a xfrog model in 3ds format into skp, the materials show up on sketchup materials but not on the vray materials editor. on the 1.5 release it shows up automatically.

materials will show up on vray materials only after using the force sync debugging tool.

im also using sketchup pro 7.1.

i want to know if its the new vray that causing this or the sketchup 7.1

    thx

If the material shows up in the sketchup material editor, but not in the v-ray material editor, that usually means it's an issue with v-ray and not sketchup. I haven't tested importing .3ds models to see what happens, I don't think our current beta testers really mess with .3ds files either. If you'd like to join our beta testing team, you could help ensure that we test that functionality in future builds though
