I updated to Vray 1.48 and now some materials don't show up and SU crashes.

I was using Vray v1.05.30 and updated to the newer 1.48. This model (www.joeskibba.com/Greatroom_10.08.24pm.zip) was rendering just fine in the earlier version. After updating Vray, some of the textures don't show up and it crashes (when rendering) SU something crazy.

Vray does run fine and renders fine when I built a new model from an empty SU model. So, I have to believe that it's something with this particular model.

Also, my DR continues to error and not work. I've read numerous posts on this. I'm assuming the problem isn't fixed yet. Right?

Please help!

Sorry to hear you're having trouble. I'm going to try to test that scene out today and see what I can find. Also, yes, DR is broken in the current version.

aww, the file's corrupt! Now I'm in a place that can't really handle file downloads either, so I probably won't be able to look at this until Friday. In the meantime, it might be useful to post your error log (how do I do that exactly?)

Yes, the file is corrupt. When you trying to extract the file, you get an error.

::blinks:: file still doesn't work... says "failed to open document" when I try to load it... maybe there's something odd going on when you ftp it to your website. Try hosting it somewhere else like www.mediafire.com. Or since it appears to be a relatively small scene, you can try emailing it to us at support@asgvis.com. Include a link to this post in your email so you don't have to re-explain the issue. Also, is there a backup of this file? are you sure the one you've been uploading is the same one you've been using (somewhat) successfully?

OK. So, my deadline was last Friday. I ended up using Studio Max to render the model. I really had hoped to figure out the SketchUp->Vray workflow as it would have proven to be the most versatile process for this particular project. If you all are still interested, I posted 1) the previous SU model that has been problematic to download 2) the most recent SU model 3) and for those who might be curious, the final (Studio Max) rendering. It's my opinion that there's just a bug in the file that is causing issues. I've done other Vray renders for other projects that work just fine.....Well, other than the DR functionality.
