Couldn't render scene

Hi

Vray version 1.48.89 (latest demo version)
Sketchup 8
Mac OS 10.6.4

Above is my environment. Need your help regarding rendering.

I've built an apartment model with a living room and a bedroom. Created the bedroom scene first with materials and lights (IES, rectangular). Clicked Render, works perfectly fine. Loved the output.

I proceeded to create the living room scene, more lights, more materials. Clicked Render, nothing happens. Vray says it's "processing the scene, please wait...", but nothing happens at the end. No frame buffer, no error messages, nothing. Tried again several times after that, same result.

Thought there might be something amiss in my living room scene, so I returned to my bedroom scene and clicked Render. Nothing happens. ??? It could render previously, but now it can't. Back to the living room, clicked Render, well, nothing happens. (Options remained unchanged throughout).

So I opened a new file, drew 2 objects, a box and a floor area, loaded default Options, clicked Render, it works perfectly fine! ??? > ???

I returned to my apartment model, loaded default Options, clicked Render, nothing happens again..... Whatever bug this is it's beating the hell out of me. Would appreciate your help very much.

This is odd. I removed a couple of rectangular lights from the scene and now Vray is rendering the scene as I speak. Took me a while to find out the culprits, but I wish this bug isn't there, would love to have those rectangular lights back in the scene.
