  • Toon Material and invisible lights

I've run into this issue a few times now; I'm working on an interior rendering, I float a light plane just below the ceiling (low intensity) to even out some of the lighting in my scene. Light: double sided, invisible, affect diffuse, no decay. Some of the perimeter walls are a toon material with simple diffuse color. Strange happeneings ensue; the portions of the wall that the "invisible" light obstructs from view are either transparent through the front face or completely blacked out. Maybe there is some hidden Toon setting I'm missing or don't understand...

Re: Toon Material and invisible lights

I guess that V-Ray toon is trying to calculate the geometry of the light no matter that it is invisible. I think this is a bug even in our old build.
Could you make a bug ticket and send us the scene?
