Hello,
We have a problem. I have the latest version of vray on my mac but i can't give different values to the GI and BG. If i change the GI settings the BG automatically changes to the same settings and visa versa... How can i fix this? Thanks!

are both set to TexSky?

if they are, i believe they work in unison, so updating one will automatically alter the other.

Not 100% sure as i use hdri for my background... so maybe others can help,

Thanks for your answer. Yes both are set to texsky.. But in a previous version of vray i could have different settings in GI and BG but now i opened the file in a newer version of vray and its not possible anymore. So the rendersettings are not correct compared to the older vray.

As you can notice on the BG color, the Sky options are gray out. If you want a different setting for the BG for the sky, you have to disable the sun directly in the texture editor. As soon as you disable the sun, the sky parameter will be available.
