No override with BRDF Material

Can anyone tell me why a BRDF still shows up even though I've checked the override material box in the global switches?

Yes, that is a Known issue. As a workaround, you could use a standard material with a BRDF layer on it. Actually we always recommend use a BRDF layer inside standard material, because at this moment we can't not use bump, displacement or an emissive layer into the regular BRDF material.
