Lights as groups or components (massive lag)

here you can find two files who only differ in that the rectangular lights have been made into components (right click on the light group and ->make component) or left as groups. the file where the lights have been made into components (is smaller on the hdd but) uses far more memory (300mb vs. 190mb) and opens very slowly (40sec vs. 10sec) in sketchup whereas the other one with far more individual lights as groups opens fast and much more memory efficient.

is this a known problem and how can i still use components without having to wait 15 minutes for some files to open.
