  • How to import new .vismat materials - Any tips or help would be appreciated

    Hello guys,

I'm a new member of the V-ray for SketchUp community. I've recently started using v-ray and have been cramming as much tutorials as i can. However, I am trying to import new materials into v-ray. If i am correct, they come in the form of vismat files but i haven't been able to find a tutorial that shows me how to import them on SU14. I am using a MAC OS Mavericks.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you,

    Tarek

You can load a vismat (or vrmat) through the vray material editor. Either click on the "scene materials" and select "load material" or click on a material in the list and select "import material" (to replace the selected material)

    Hope that helps.

    Andy

We have a separate installer for those material called V-Ray express. Once you install it, you will have all the material inside the Sketchup material editor. So you could use the paint bucket to apply them
