I finally took the plunge and upgraded my sketchup pro from version 8 to 2015 and updated vray to 2.0 hoping to take advantage of the 64bit architecture. Well, I'm experiencing a number of bugs. In my scene when I try to edit a vray light it takes about a 2min. to open the light editor!!! Also the VRAY RT freezes at times when I use certain materials that include a displacement map. Sometimes I have to restart sketchup to get the RT working again. Both of these issue makes my workflow slower not faster. This is unacceptable. Will there be an update to vray 2 coming soon? I would appreciate any advice.

Be sure to use components whenever possible. When Sketchup makes groups it creates a unique random ID number for each group in the background but does not give us a road map to find it, so V-Ray has to dig through the entire scene to find the one group/light. If you make lights components and avoid nesting them deeply inside groups you will find they open much faster.Best,
