Unfortunately, GPU in V-Ray for Sketchup 2.0 was, when implemented, a very limited version of our GPU based rendering system. It has many limitations that the 3.0 version has fixed or improved on (they will be included in the 3.0 release of V-Ray for Sketchup). That said, here is a short list of the current V-Ray for Sketchup 2.0 GPU Limitations:
GPU Unsupported or problematic features
Materials:
- BRDF Materials
- Toon Material
- Wrapper Material
- Emissive Materials (emit light incorrectly)
Procedural Textures:
- TexBlend
- TexCellular
- TexCombineColor
- TexCompMax
- TexDirt
- TexFalloff
- TexMix
- TexNoise
- TexNoiseMax
- TexSky
- TexSnow
- TexTiles
- TexWater
Lights:
- HDR Dome Lighting
- Spot Light (penumbra angle does not work)
Other:
- V-Ray Sky Background
- Displacement
- Caustics (Incorrect caustics)
I hope this helps troubleshoot your issue further, pleas let us know if you have any other issues.Best,
Ted Vitale
