  • V-Ray keeps crashing with Hibrid CPU + GPU animation rendering

V-Ray keeps crashing with Hibrid CPU + GPU animation rendering, and sometimes it even crashes the system with just GPU rendering

    I have 2 GPUs 1050ti and 1080ti

Last month i upgraded my CPU from Ryzen 1300x to 2700x, but i cant use the CPU to render cause it always crashes, sometimes it renders a few frames, and then the rendering stops, and when i hit the render button again, nothing happens.

I tried everything, closing every other software, updating the BIOS to the latest version, buying more and faster RAM, updating windows 10, using Sketchup 2018 instead of 2016 but nothing fixes the problem.

So only the Vray software can be the problem right ?
Is anyone else useing the new 2700x Ryzen with V-ray ?

Please let me know what i can do cause i have to make so many animation renderings and my system keeps crashing.

BTW where do i download the newest Vray version, is it 360614 ?

Could you please provide some additional information to help us resolve the issue?
    - Does this occur with specific project or any (even newly created ones)?
    - When does the issue occur? A step-by-step description and screenshots would be appreciated.
    - Could you provide a full copy of the V-Ray Progress log?
    - What are the full specifications of the computer? What is the full version number of the GPU drivers?
    - What is the full version of V-Ray for SketchUp?
    - Are you using any other 3rd party plugins?

Regarding the V-Ray Progress log, you could copy and paste it in a simple .txt file (Notepad).

Would it be alright if you share the project with us so we can investigate in detail and advise accordingly? If this is fine, please send us an archived copy (Extensions > V-Ray > Pack Project) via file-sharing service of your choice to support@chaosgroup.com

            https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...ProgressWindow

Please note that the window could be situated behind the V-Ray Frame Buffer, after you have clicked the small square button at the bottom-right corner.

The Progress window now is stuck at 9% and doesn't show any text, it's blank. If i hit the stop button, nothing happens. I have to restart the PC

Hi Georgi, i just sent you an email.

Is a teamview session or me giving you the file the only way to find the issue ?
I work with confidential designs, so it's not something i can share.

Isnt there a log from Vray that i can send or that is saved since i always need an internet connection to use vray ?

Today i tried with Sketchup 2018, but it still crashes, i'm 90% sure it because of the CPU, cause i've been having these problems ever since i changed from the 1300x Ryzen to the 2700x
