This is possibly a feature request but would it ever be possible to adjust lighting independently for each light after rendering? You know, like some other engine that rhymes with ShatsWell ?
I believe they have something similar to that for max - independent light channels so you can use an exposure adjustment in Pshop to dim the light (forget the name of the render channel).
Ah, that's cool and kinda of what I was looking for. I guess I would be really picky here and hoped it was something built into the VFB and not something that has to be composited after rendering.
I mean, thats really just a UI thing - the maxwell mxi files are just full floating point 32 bit files wrapped in a UI with sliders and what not (and no layers). The result is the same if you imported that mxi into pshop via their plugin, kept it in 32bit and played with the exposure sliders. I'm assuming the same could be done with a multi-part EXR or vrimg file. I personally never use the vfb due to our workflow, but I could see this feature being useful.
The team would like to add https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...RayLightSelect in V-Ray for SketchUp and Rhino at some point. This is currently scheduled for the next major release, although I cannot state yet whether it can be implemented in the initial release or a subsequent build.
Kind regards,
Peter
