I'm currently building some new machines and before I ordered just wanted to make sure the RTX 2080 & 2080 ti were supported and are running fine with the latest Vray for Sketchup...? cheers

Yes, RTX GPUs will work using the CUDA Cores with latest V-Ray for Sketch Up.
There is stil no NVIDIA public SDK for using RT Core (raytracing hardware) from CUDA raytracers, so for now there is no update on that.
