  • New File Path

    Hello,

I'm wondering if there's a way to repath all Vray assets in one shot. I've upgraded a computer and need to remap all assets to the 'D' Drive. Is there a way to do this without having to address each asset/map individually?

    Thanks!

You can achieve this using the V-Ray File Path Editor.
    1. Access the tool via the SketchUp menu Extensions > V-Ray > File Path Editor
    2. Make sure the listed file assets are grouped by directory
    3. Select all missing assets (marked in red) of a single directory, click the Repath button and choose the new valid location of the image files.

Thank you! Being able to select multiple files is helpful, but I suppose there isn't a way to point everything to a new location? For example, the folder structure is the same, but I need it to point to the 'D' drive instead of the 'C' drive. Is this possible?

There is no way to achieve such a change to all assets without scripting it in Ruby. Even then, the solution would need to exclude assets from the V-Ray preset material library. The recommended workflow is to use the File Path Editor.

        Kind regards,
