  • Crashes galore

I have been experiencing crashes while changing camera settings while running some tests. the general settings are quite low: interactive render, low quality, 640x360. It goes on nicely and when I change the EV and click the tab key Vray goes boom! It is odd that when I open Su again I try the same move and there is no crash. It happens after a while.

Could be a conflict with some other extension?

I am on Mac OS High Sierra, Sketchup 2019, Vray 4.00.01, my iMac has 16 Mb RAM, and a dedicated 4K graphics card.

    Thanks. -- NORMAL --

I have been informed by email that Chaos Group are aware of this issue and are looking into it. But it is really annoying not being able to work because V-Ray crashes all the time for unknown reasons. Right now I tried several times to change the Penumbra Angle of a spot light and it crashed every time. Would there be some workaround to it while support tries to find a solution to the problem? -- NORMAL --

      Hi,

Since in the support ticket it was not specified the exact version of OSX was, the issue I was referring to was related to El Capitan. However, seeing that the OSX is High Sierra, this behavior could be unrelated.

In that respect, does this occur with specific project or any (even newly created ones)? If you are using any 3rd party plugins, could you please disable them and leave only V-Ray enabled, and see if the issue is still reproducible?
