Does Vray for Sketchup use same hardware resources as other Vray plugins?

I am currently researching pc components to build a new modeling/rendering pc. I use Vray for Sketchup almost exclusively to render. It looks to me like the threadripper CPUs are the way to go for rendering, Are the same resources used as a product like 3DMax? How can I know the best CPU / components to buy?

V-Ray Next for SketchUp uses the same V-Ray Core just like our other flagship products, V-Ray for 3ds max and Maya.
