  • Shadow catching?

I'm a little behind on all the new features since VfSU 2. Now playing around with Next and I'm wondering if there's any ways to catch shadows?

If you see the attached screenshot, I'm looking to have the group catch shadows as well participate in light bounces.
Please mention what V-Ray and SketchUp version you are using when posting questions.

I have a little tutorial about it.. For catching shadow, you have to use vray sun that positioned like the hdr sun position.. After that, draw a rectangle area that covers the shadow affected area.. I explain creating wrapper-shadow chatcher material in the video but vray has a matte shadow receiver material under the diagrammatic materials folder, you can use it..

I have made a few of tests, Vray Doesn't work with Dome lights, it only Works with Background under the Environment tab.
I suppose that could be the issue!

Kindly note that this is the normal behavior of V-Ray Wrapper material. It will always hit the background (environment).

        Edit:
Just to clarify, the opposite is true with the GPU render engine. When a V-Ray Dome Light is used, it will raytrace the Dome Light as a matte and not the Environment
