Hi everyone,
This is my first post to this forum so please let me know if this is in the wrong place.
I'm relatively new to using Vray but have been using Sketchup for a good number of years now.
I design wine cellars/rooms for a living and constantly use LED strip lighting within some of the racking elements, plinth, worktop, shelving areas and displays etc.
To simulate these I have been using rectangle lights which seem to work pretty well but I'm not too sure how to go about calculating the correct output/brightness.
I usually just have to play around with the intensity until it looks right but this can add a lot of time into the process which I am trying to avoid.
From doing some research Lumens seems to be the correct way to go but I wanted to make sure that the rectangle lights in Vray, especially when stretched, do actually distribute the light similar to LED strip lighting.
Apologies if this sounds like a stupid question but I wanted to put this out there to see if what I'm doing is correct or if there are better more effective ways of doing this.
Really appreciate any tips or advice.
Thank you
