  • problems with SWARM

Hi, when I changed my router SWARM has stopped working. The new router changed the IP-adresses and SWARM hasn't been working since.
My configuration: Master computer: EWA_NOWY (Sketchup + Vray + Licence server), slave computer: GREG (only SWARM).

The computers see each other (pic.1)

Configuration of SWARM is default on both computers (pic. 2)

Vray is active on port 20208 (pic.3)

The status of GREG is always ENABLED (but not rendering) (like on pic.1) or UNSTABLE.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Hello,

You said that the router has changed your local IP addresses. Can you please uncheck the "Use system license configuration", seen in your second screenshot, on machine "GREG" and input the new IP address of the Chaos License server machine. The Chaos license server machine is probably "EWA_NOWY". If this doesn't fix your issue, please contact us at support@chaosgroup.com with your account information and a link to this thread.

      Hi,
Unfortunately your solution hasn't helped. At first the status of "GREG" node was RENDERING (pic4), but after a while it has changed to UNSTABLE.
Listening to your suggestion, I will write to your email.
      Help would be appreciated.

      Kind regards,
      GrzegorzB

This can happen if you have more render nodes than render licenses, but it's best to look into this via the ticketing since it'll probably require discussing some personal data like licenses, IP addresses etc.

Problem solved. SWARM was been blocked by Windows Defender. My contact with the reliable ChaosGroup Support helped solve the problem.
          Thanks again Nikolay.
