  • Amazon AWS remote computer to render?

Is it possible to remote to an Amazon AWS workstation (e.g. with a Tesla V100), install Sketchup and Vray Next there, so I can render my final scenes there instead of my local machine? On the top of my head, I'm thinking just using Windows Remote Desktop.

Is anyone here doing this? I know there's Vray Cloud, but this may be cheaper.

    Thanks

I have been trying that for years and gave up a while ago. The biggest issue is transferring files. Also, it wasn't much cheaper and a lot less convenient. I was sold on it a long time ago, in theory, but as I said, never worked out. I had a company try to rent me dedicated PC's, which would live on their side, but they wanted $800 a month for three wimpy PC's. If you figure it out, please share it. Hopefully, someone else can chime in.
