  • V-Ray 5 for SketchUp this year?

    Hi guys,

I just saw the announcement of V-Ray 5 for 3ds Max, and it's incredible!

I am a V-Ray for SketchUp user and instructor, and for we create V-Ray for SketchUp courses I would love to know if you are planning on release V-Ray 5 for SketchUp this year as well. That would be incredibly helpful to us in planning our advanced course.

P.S.: I know maybe you wouldn't share thins kind of information, but I'd love you to consider sharing some things in advance to your ATCs

    Hi Gabriel,

We'll do our best to bring V-Ray 5 to SketchUp this year.

The following features from the 3ds Max video will most probably make it in:
    - Dirt texture updates
    - Material Coat and Sheen layers
    - New Car Paint material
    - Textures UV randomization
    - Multi sub texture randomization
    - Improved Sky model
    - VFB 2 and all its features
    - Light Mix

And that's not going to be all...

    Regards,
    Konstantin
