  • Save all image channels to single file

When I save the file this way, I get a large file but after opening, for example in photoshop, there are no layers, only RGB and alpha channels. In v-ray we add layers, e.g. light mix - are these layers in the saved file?

    Hi mariusz_jakubczyk

Photoshop is not able to open and work with multichannel EXR files, however, there are plugins for PS that work as readers and writers for the EXR file format, such as OpenEXR
Alternatively, you need to split the channels into individual EXRs and save them separately so you can load them in Photoshop.

To add up to my original post - we've got a great blogpost regarding the usage of Cryptomatte Render Elements in V-Ray for SketchUp, followed by a step-by-step guide and examples on reading EXR files and compositing in Photoshop: https://www.chaosgroup.com/blog/how-...y-for-sketchup
