Problem with Vray & LAYOUT

has anyone else noticed that when you open a project in LAYOUT (using 2021 Layout version 21.0.391), if the scenes were originally created in Sketchup 2020 - you get some big solid rectangles appearing all over your drawings. If you switch the LAYOUT model render option to "VECTOR" it resolves the problem. However, thats not really a solution

A good suggestion, but not the solution for this one - i tried it already If you re-insert the same sketchup model into LAYOUT, it solves the problem (as does going "Hybrid") but i cant find any other solution. I thought it might have something to do with the vray lights, but wasnt that either

If you haven't reached out to the Support team yet, could you please confirm whether this issue is reproducible solely with a specific project and whether disabling V-Ray beforehand makes a difference?

Hello Peter. This is not limited to any specific scene - as far as i can see it is something that has been overlooked by the development team (along with the problem of the vray Purge tool deleting all sketchup sections in any scene).
I started a new project, all from 2021 sketchup and i confirm that as soon as you start to use Vray in the scene, the problem starts immediately when you are using Layout. This really needs to be fixed for those of us that are doing architectural work (i.e renderings + working drawings in Layout). Can you please let the team know this needs to be fixed.
EDIT: I just noticed that this problem is currently occurring when i switch onto another computer - thats when i get the strange grey boxes appearing in Layout. When i stay on the same machine where the file was authored, i am not currently seeing the problem. This seems wierd since both computer have the same version of sketchup & vray.
