  • How do I show Chaos Cosmos Assets with their materials in the Sketchup Viewport?

    Hi,

I would like to know if it's possible to show the original model in the Sketchup window rather than their proxy.

We send a lot of our scenes to layout for further documentation. So it would be better for us to see the actual models with their materials rather than the proxy version of it.

    Thanks
    Manish

    Hi Manish,

Chaos Cosmos assets are treated as any other vrayproxy objects, and therefore, it is not possible to preview their materials in the SketchUp viewport. You can, of course, show the original mesh if you either select the Cosmos asset in the Asset Editor, go to Parameters > Representations and select High, or if you Merge the Cosmos asset and then select Preview Type > Whole Mesh from the Proxy Mesh Parameters.

For a fast preview of the assets together with their materials, you might want to try V-Ray Vision.
