  • Problem BRDF material

I'm using the latest version of VR5 for MacOS and I'm having the following problems:
    1) VRAY 5 cannot interpret BRDF materials
    - especially metals and glass
    - when I try to redo the material by erasing the BRDF settings and building all the new material
    - everytime my sketchup closes with BUGSplatt message

    2) the interface is too slow to load both materials and render.

    my system:
    BigSUR 11.2.3
    2,3 GHz Intel Xeon W 18-Core
    256 GB 2666 MHz DDR4
Radeon Pro Vega 64X 16 GB
    4tb disk

    thanks in advanced

    Hello, Assis,
    Thank you for reaching out!

Could you please answer a few questions to help us narrow down the cause of this crash?
    1. Does the issue only with specific materials?
If it does, please share one of them with us. When you save a material as a .vrmat via the Asset Editor, it will also export all of its texture files in a folder named "maps", located next to the .vrmat file. Please provide both (you can archive them together)
    2. If you can reproduce the SketchUp crash, grab the following files:
      - the latest .crash file located at ~/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports/
      - the file VRayForSketchUp.log file located at ~/.ChaosGroup/V-Ray\ for\ SketchUp/
      - the latest vray-neui.log located at ~/.ChaosGroup/V-Ray\ for\ SketchUp/vrayneui/
    3. Does the crash occur when you delete the VRay Mtl layer of a material and then simply create a new layer or are there any extra steps prior to causing the crash?
If there are, a detailed description or video demonstration would be extremely helpful!
