  • Showing Render time!

    Hi,

This is my first post in the forum.

I am trying V-Ray 5 with SketchUp and planning to buy it and learn it. I did few test renders but could not find a way to see how much time it took to render my tests! I am sure such a basic feature (rendering time) is there but I just could not find it! Any help on how to enable it?

    Hi yasser_saeed,

There are a couple of ways to view the render time:
    1. You can use the Stamp option in the V-Ray Frame Buffer which will show the rendertime
    2. You can use the V-Ray Frame Buffer's Stats > Timing rollout for a detailed information
I've attached screenshots with both options for your convenience.

OMG!!! why you guys made it so hidden deeeeeep in there which makes it extremely hard to find?! It just make a huge sense to show the render time next to the progress bar! It has so much wasted space there so why not show the rendering time there?
Another problem I noticed is that the render time does not refresh for next rendering! It only shows the rendering time of first rendering!

It does refresh every time on my tests, can you provide a recording along with the exact V-Ray version used so we can have a look? Much appreciated!
