How is possible to create a video with Vision in SketchUp???
There is this new feature in the pdate release... but the button is not available... in dark grey.
Of course I have some scenes in my model... but what I must do to export the video?!?
    Tnks!

    Hello, Kiare ,
This option becomes available when the scene contains animation data.
If you've already set up your walkthrough animation in SketchUp, simply enable the 'Animation' toggle in the V-Ray Asset Editor's Settings tab. This will automatically include the animation data in the scene when it is loaded in Vision and you will see a timeline slider in the Vision UI.
    Hope this helps!

Thank you so much, I think it could be useful to specify this in the online support
Another question please: is is possible to include in the animation only some scenes and not all the scene present in the model? For example with the SketchUp option "include in the animation"? Thank you

        UPDATE!!!
Now I see: of course there is the possibility to exclude some scenes via the "include in the animation" option.

BUT if you have already exported an animation, Vision doesn't update the preview with the new customization of the "include in the animation" option for the new scenes..., if I'm not wrong...

          Hi Kiare ,

Currently any change to the animation requires a restart of the live connection to Vision.
You can keep Vision running just click once on the Vision toolbar icon to stop the connection and a second time to reconnect.

The issue with updating the animation live is that we have to deploy a SketchUp observer that fires when a change in the Scenes/Pages occurs.
Doing this is somewhat risky and that's why we decided against it.
Updating long animations might also be an issue - it takes a while to go through all the frames and update the rendered scene.
We are currently looking into a new way of exporting the animation frames which should make this part much faster.
In any case we can try how stable it is and add the live animation updates at one point.

Also, thank you for testing Vision.
We are not receiving much feedback about it and we really want to improve it.
So if you have anything else to share - good or bad - please do so.

          Thank you in advance,
          Konstantin

I'm the author of an italian manual on V-Ray:https://www.marcochiarelloarchitetto...y-for-sketchup at the moment the only request for me is to NOT open settings in the Vision window on the top of the rendering. When I'm customizing exposure and so on... the settings window should go out of the Vision window, so it doesn't cover the render...
If I have other suggestions sure I wtrite to you. Thank for your amazing products!

Kiare, thank you for the feedback.

the only request for me is to NOT open settings in the Vision window on the top of the rendering. When I'm customizing exposure and so on... the settings window should go out of the Vision window, so it doesn't cover the render...
This change is actually not at all trivial.
The thing is that the UI of vision is rendered by the same engine that's rendering the scene.
If we decide to move the settings outside of the Vision window we'll have to change the entire UI framework.
Another challenge we'll face will be window ordering and parenting.
We already have a bunch of windows that we're taking care of - Asset Editor / Cosmos /... ,VFB; Vision, etc. - and it's not easy.
One more window will make things even more complicated.

As an alternative we can do something else - keep the options in the Vision window but do not overlay them over the rendered image.
I'll think about this a little more and possibly log it as a feature request.

              Regards,
              Konstantin
