  • Controlling individual IES assets asVector works Lighting Device. LX Design

    Hi everyone,

Is there a way to control PAN/TILT/BEAM ANGLE etc independently within a large group of lighting assets? Vecterworks offer Lighting Device which has a great interface for multiple fixture control, however, Vray is my preferred renderer.
Application is lighting design with a combination of stage and film lighting and LED screen. I'm building in SKP.

    Keen to here your suggestions

    Hi richard_harling,

Can you describe in more details what you're after?

I believe that you have quite a lot of options to control many lights within the context of SketchUp and the current V-Ray.
Using our light sources combined with SketchUp's components (+ dynamic components) system give's you a lot of options.

      Thanks Konstantin,

What I'm looking for is the ability to control Vray lights rotation, pan and tilt within the Vray panel. So effecting the light asset direction in which it points.

Vray has control over a lights size, source shape and beam angle. I can obviously do this within SKP yet it is clumsy doing this when interactive rendering, having to jump between the render viewport then zoom in on a light and modify where it points then back into Vray to check. I have a large quantity of lights I would like to angle quickly without having to it within SKP.

Im probably unaware of some capability so your insight would be great!

      Thanks
