  • replace texture file

    Hi,
is it possible to replace all occurrences of the same texture by another texture in different materials?
Example : I have 10 materials with the texture file "leaves_001.jpg" and I would like to replace the file "leaves_001.jpg" by another file named "leaves.jpg".

    Hi DCHA34,

You can use the Set Path feature of the File Path Editor to replace one file with another.
If you want to replace all instances of a texture asset with another one, that would be harder to do and I don't think we have an automatic way of doing it.

      This is very disappointing.

      Wouldn't it be possible :
      - to have a "By Name" option in the "Group by" drop-down list.
      - to make a multiple selection of images with the same name
      - to allow the "Set Path" function to choose a file name in a specific directory with a multiple selection. Currently you can only choose a file with the "Set Path" function on a single selection. As soon as we make a multiple selection we have access only to the choice of a directory.

What do you think about it?
