  • Vray 6 Sketchup Invisible Material Casting Shadow

    Greetings,

I will deeply appreciate any hammer-way guidance to get an invisible material that casts shadows. Alas, cannot find the suggested option (older version of Vray fo SU) - Material Options - Only in Secondary.
Apparently any generic material can be used with some option to be invisible to the render.

    Many thanks in advance.

    Hi,
simply add a "Raytrace Properties" attribute and uncheck the "Visible to Camera" option.

Thank you very much for your prompt return.
Alas I cannot (a problem between the chair and the screen?) reproduce the shown effect.

Here are the results here with the pointed material setting. I will be thankful for the elucidation, if any. Click image for larger version

Oh, I see... I have just applied in Sketchup the same material to both sides of the cube and made it disappeared!

Is there within Vray material option - double side, or sth similar to be checked instead of applying it within Sketchup?
          Once more many thanks.

Easiest way in this case would be to make a Component and apply material to the whole object.
I have attached my test scene if that helps.
