  • Clipper preview

I've created a clipper object, but I'd like to preview the clipping that it actually will do in the render. How do I do this?

To clarify: I am talking about using a vray clipper without a sketchup section cut.

    Hi maarten_vis,
    Thank you for the question.

V-Ray Clipper (including Mesh Clipper) is a render-time effect and does not modify the actual scene geometry in any way, thus can not be previewed in the SketchUp viewport.

To make adjustments and preview Clipper please use Interactive render.

        Hi maarten_vis,

I just want to note that the new Overlays introduced in SketchUp 2023 are presenting some new possibilities of what we can show in the viewport.
Unfortunately the mesh clipping (intersecting two or more meshes) is one of the hardest things to show.
That is why as Natalia already pointed out - interactive rendering is your best bet.
Note that interactive rendering can be performed in the viewport - docs

        Regards,
        Konstantin
