  • Scale and the relationship to stereoscopic renders

Hey Chaos Community! I'm not a professional artist by trade and learning a lot as I go. I use SketchUp and Vray for renders in VR. Right now spherical panoramas via Chaos Cloud are common to create and display on consumer grade headsets i.e. Quest/2/3. When we do so our models appear scaled to the in camera height pretty naturally. As soon as we do a stereoscopic render our models take on the depth that makes VR so cool, but perceptively shrinks the scale of the models. Trial and error is only getting us so far and we've been unable to rectify the issue. Is there something inherent in the nature of stereoscopic 3D that we're not accounting for? I don't think it's anything in Chaos Cloud vs local rendering but I'm really puzzled on this. I'm about to just try scaling up my models while keeping the camera positions as is just to see what that does and if I can offset the shrinking perspective at all. Any advice would be most welcome!
