  • Workstation Requirements for Rendering Nighttime Streetview

    Good morning,
I would like to inquire about the ideal workstation specifications needed to quickly process a nighttime render that includes at least 10 light sources, various houses, people, urban furniture, trees, etc., with "displacement" and "Fur" effects on several surfaces. We are talking about a highly detailed model. I wonder, is it better to render using a very powerful graphics card? I am currently using an i9-144900K 3.2 GHz with a Geforce RTX 3060 graphics card, but the rendering times are very long and SketchUp is slow in modeling. Thank you.

Most likely even with your current hardware you will be able to render via CPU in a few hours if your scene is well conceived.

      Hello silvia_cariani,

You can check out this blog below for ideas on how to optimize your scene for rendering.
If you need fast rendering you can also take advantage of V-Ray Swarm or Chaos Cloud.

Let me know if this helps!

      Kind regards,
      Iva
