Changing color on Chaos Cosmos Foam Texture

Hi guys,

I am a beginner user and that may be a dumb question..sorry in advance.

What I am trying to to is changing the color of a chaos cosmos foam texture. The problem is that when I change the diffuse color it does change the hue a slight bit but the original color still remains. And on the other hand when I use the color manipulation tab for the original texture it does change the color more but the foam texture disappears. Is there any easy way to change the color to a custom color AND keeping the texture at the same time?

Welcome to Chaos Forum simon_bernlieger,

You first need to merge the model to edit the materials on a model downloaded from Chaos Cosmos. Once merged, you can edit the materials, and the changes will be visible in the render. Here's a quick example of the process.

It is not about a model though, it is about a material (downloaded from Chaos Cosmos) which I placed on one of my own models. It is a bluish foam that remains blue regardless of changing diffuse color or tinkering with color manipulation for the texture.. It changes the hue somewhat but it remains a blue tone.
I don't know if that makes sense?

rossen.rangelov thank you, but I got it to work in the meantime. I was changing colors on the reflection map instead of the texture map..
