I am trying to speed up my interactive rendering and nothing is working. When I watch vray tutorials they use the interactive renderer to make changes on the fly and the image updates very quickly, almost in real time. For me it takes a ridiculously long time for anything to happen. building the GPU light cache takes forever and then the image just stays a fuzzy mess for like 15 minutes while it agonizingly renders the image. This makes it impossible to make any kind of changes to lights or anything because I have to wait 15-20 minutes to see the result.
I (believe) I am using the default render settings. Even on medium to low render quality this is still happening. The resolution is turned way down, I don't know how else to make this go faster.
I don't think the model is not super complex. I'm not really using any super high-poly objects. I'm also using very few PBR materials. Most materials are just texture images. There are only 6 artificial lights in my scene.
My computer is pretty high end. Desktop RTX 4060, 32 GB RAM, AMD 7700X Processor. Both Vray and my nvidia graphics drivers are up to date.
I'm at a loss here, but right now vray is practically unusable. I can't sit around and wait 20 minutes to see if the minor change I made worked or not.
