Why does the decal function not work with proxy objects?

Why does the decal function not work with proxy objects I think the Decal function is very useful but I don't understand why it doesn't work on proxy objects. How can I solve this problem is there a solution

Can you share which exact V-Ray build you are using? Go to Extensions>V-Ray>Help>About and share the screenshots of About window.

In V-Ray 7 (7.00.03) build Decal works over V-Ray Proxy Mesh and V-Ray Proxy Scene, also in can be exported as part of Proxy Scene. Please share which is not working for you?
