  • size for reflective bitmaps

I have now tried using a bitmap as a reflective layer on glass material, however the reflections seem out of scale with the remainder of the image when rendered. I have set the mapping of the reflective layer to 'spherical'.
Is there a relationship between the bitmap size of the image you are outputting and the image used as the reflection layer in material? If the bitmap is the same size as the output, I am wondering if it being 'stretched' over a sphere and therefore having the effect of being being 'enlarged'.
Hope someone can answer this one!

    Thanks

    Re: size for reflective bitmaps

Unless you are talking about setting up a reflection environment you shouldn't be using the environment mapping types. Perhaps you could explain what you are doing with the map so I can better understand what your situation is.
