I am having to set the multiplier for HDRI in the thousands to notice any effective lighting coming form the map. Is this typical?

Hi Cjlopez4,

Yes it is. The HDRI generate far less light than sun or real lights.
THe choice is yours : Pump up the HDR multiplier or change your physical camera settings.... like a photograph ( ISO, Aperture, speed,..)

Your other option is to disable exposure in the physical camera - or just disable the physical camera completely and use the standard camera.
