  • Displacement in SketchUp?

No mater what i do I can't make displacement work. Bump mapping works fine but displacement is no go. Following V-Ray for SketchUp Manual and have no luck at all.
Ether I am missing something or maybe it is not implemented yet? Then why it is in a manual....

I am sorry if that was asked before but i could not find answer on a forum. Everywhere i go it is advertised as Displacement works.
I only see people having problem with bump mapping... but that aspect i was able to solve.

It is implemented in our core technology - and is in use in Rhino. It should also work in Sketchup. I'll see if I can get an example scene together for you.

As for displacement, it is working. The multiplier for displacement will reference your scene units, so that may wind up being a bit to small to really notice. You can try increasing either the texture multiplier of the displacement map, or under V-ray options go to Displacement and increase the Amount.
