Can I use a jpeg of a sky for my back ground? And how do I get the glass to reflect the sky?

Re: Question About sky
I understand that you can use any jpg as a background. You insert it in Environment - background - bitmap. If you have the physical camera enabled, then you will have to set the multiplier very high - 10000 or so to get it to be visible.
However, you may get better results if you use a hdr image as the sky because it will have inbuilt brightness. You can get these free from a number of sites - just google it.
Here is some information about reflections

Basically you need to set -up a billboard with the image you want to reflect in such a position that it will reflect correctly.

Re: Question About sky
Hi David,
I think that's also one of my problems right now. I don't know how to make a billboard. Care to give me the step by step intro. BTW, Wheres the environment and the camera settings? How can I enable my camera? Also, what's HDR image? Sorry for the redundant and annoying questions of mine. Thanks!

Billboard - in sketchup 'import' an image as an image (not a texture). Stretch it so it is big enough and rotate it into position, where you want it. You now have a billboard. You can always re-size it with the 'scale' command. Now to get vray to see it you need to explode it.
'Environment, and 'camera' settings are one of the many render options. If you are still learning I suggest you start with the pre-set 'vismats' such as 'gi_irmap_medium.visopt' which can be found from the vray 'file - load - options' menu.
HDR Image (High Dynamic Range image) - read all about it on wykipedia!
Good Luck
David
