How to change the Material Colour

I have applied the sketchup basic material cherry wood colour but how do I make it darker? Is it a setting within my color mapping settings?

You wouldn't want to change your color mapping unless you want to affect colors on a global scale. If you just want that one material's color to be darker you would just edit that material using the Sketchup material editor.
