  • One more newbie animation question.

    Hey Guys,

I've been reading through these forums and still couldn't find the answer to my problem. My problem is that I am rendering an exterior fly-through and when it renders it only renderers the same scene. When I go to the folder that I saved the animation images, its just a bunch of the same of the first frame of the animation.

I am animating using the "scene" tabs in sketch up. Is there another way to do this that I'm not familiar with? Thanks again!

    Cheers!

In the Output Tab at the bottom should be the option to render an animation. There are a few presets as far as frame rates go and you can set your own as well.

Hmm... I have that checked off and it still renders only the first frame only; again and again. Weird. Any thoughts?

Right after you press render, the scene geometry gets compiled, and then for animations you should see it quickly run through each scene (it will look like a domino effect in the tabs, but the viewport won't updated). Does it do that??

This is what happen to my SU. But if I have for example 10 saved scenes it will stop maybe at scene 6 and then render only a few of them. And sometimes just not. Or sometimes it renders 7 pictures and 3 of them twice. Or the pictures are rendered but not saved. Actually it is a lot of fun, because you always will be surprised what happens this time. :

Do you have any idea when there will be an update for VR4SU? Sometimes it is really difficult to stay calm. So many settings I adjust are just lost when I close the menue. Materials are lost, I cannot turn off Vray-Lights, the Sun-Settings must be updated before I can start a rendering because Vray just doesnt recognize that there are different settings in each scene... This is especially for animations a problem. But I still like the tool very much and hope that there will be some great improvements in the next update.
