Re: how to make an animation

    Possible...Yes
Easy...First Time, not so much...After That, gets easier and easier

Creating Animations in V-Ray requires that you basically preprocess all of your lighting information. For LC this is typically not to big of a deal (change the calculation mode and add more samples), but for IM its a bit more involved. To accurately and efficiently calculate your IM solution you'll have to change your frame rate, calc mode, and even afew more of your settings. As I said above, the first time it may be something that you're not very familiar with, but after the first time its easier.

There is a tutorial on our site for animations...Its specifically for Rhino's animation tools, which are different then SU. Any of the V-Ray information is the same though, so you can use that. That tutorial was done with an older version, so the frame rate is easily adjusted in the output section (animation stuff is at the bottom). There is also a vfMax animation tutorial. Again, there's some Max specific stuff, but the concepts and anything V-Ray will hold true.

Re: how to make an animation

      hi again,

I've tested but there is no way to render a complete film, render calculate always the same point of view. I can't understand if the path of the camera is drive by the point of view in sketch up or other path ???

Second question : I can't find the rendered picture in my computer, i believe Vray render all pictures without compression, read that in an other topic.
ok so please tell me about !!
      See you

Re: how to make an animation

Hi, atelier.instant.t226. When you go to Options --> Output you have to check the "On" box in the "Animation" section and then you have to tell where you want to save your animation frames checking on the "Save file" option in "Render Output" section.

I've rendered some animations, and everything went ok. Before to start rendering an animation, be sure that you have selected the first secene of the model!

        Good luck

Re: how to make an animation

V-Ray won't render out to a movie...it will give you the individual frames and then you will have to put it together in Premiere or something.

Didn't want you looking for something that isn't there.

Ok, I'm sorry. You are right dalomar. I forgot to say that you have to mount all individual frames onto a program to make a video.

I reccomend Photolapse. I'ts freeware and very easy to use.

              ok Thanks a lot IT WORKS Youhou !!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D

So, I think other people can be in the same situation than me : I was looking the first 10 pictures and point of view never moved, i wasn't completely blind BECAUSE :

in Tourguide of sketch up, delay for point of view was 1sec so Vray calculate during 1 second 24 times exactly the same picture !!

See You my friends ! I'm preparing my architecture final exam and now I think it will be a great moment just because of you

              Thanks Thanks Thanks
