How to render a Sketchup section ?

The problem has haunted me for a while. I don't know it is the software currently not supporting this feature or I don't know how it be done.

It is in someway an import feature I think. For example, you created a master model for an area, sometimes you just want a particular street elevation be presented. At this time, if Vray can render what Section Tool cut, while reserve the shadows formed by another half, that would be indeed perfect.

Any one has any ideas?

Vray for SU currently doesn't support rendering sections.

Create a group from the section slice, then step would be to intersect this slice with the model and hide/delete the part you dont want. Fill in the new geometry on the other part so it is a full solid again. Basically the same thing, just a little more work
