Hi to everyone. Everyone knows how to make a model adjusting to a photo (google sketchup web's video tutorials), but until now i didn't know how to properly photomatch a background image to my finished model. I'm sure there's an easier way to do this (if anyone knows please share), but i hope this would help someone.
- Make your model in SketchUp (i got this from warehouse)
- Look for a Background you want and import as photomatch (File- Import ...- use as Photomatch)
- Photomatch your model to with the image's parallels (google sketchup web's video tutorials)
- Draw a big flat surface behind your model perpendicular to the floor plane. Made it component, switch on "always face me" and define it's own axis.
- Go to "sundown 2D" scene (it was created automatically when you made the photomatch) and scale the flat surface component so as it covers all the background of your model. Now, right click on it and select "Proyect Photo"
- Explode the component and edit the backgound (now it's a material). Change it's opacity to less than 100.
- Zoom in to adjust the image (never orbit) and render the image.
