hi guys

has anyone here did a sample on how to make water effects? can u link me to it if there is a topic.when i try it i get flat and plain blue result.

its fairly easy. this is my humble advise for a quick water effect.

1. add water material in sketchup. be sure your water material has also bump texture (inverted black and white image using photoshop)
2. create linked material.. then add reflection map
3. the add the bump map...

...after which i usually remove the texture from the water... so that its just a cour with a bump map...
