Hi all im new to the forum and to render programs really. First i'll start by saying im really excited at the quality that vray has in image production. Now I know this has probably been answered already but i've looked at just about every thread that talks about this and still dont know what im doing wrong. I basically have a test image for trying to make interior lights. I have turned off the sky amd sunlight. I have made three emissive materials as "down lights" in an alcove and have set their intensity to 10000, I still only seem to get a very dark image. Are my expectations of emissive materials wrong? Shouldnt they be lighting my scene up right now? Im sorry for the probably already answered question but i just need someone to please tell me straight what im doing wrong so i can learn from this mistake. :-[

ok so i worked out that ofcourse you have to play with the physical camera, the answer to most things in the forum ;D, but now i get like sprinkles of light, not evenly distributed light, any tips guys?

Its best not to use emissive material to light your scene - causes the problems you are experiencing.
Have a look at Mado's kitchen renders - he explains how to set up lights.
